MANKRASO SECONDARY SCHOOL
GHANA, WEST AFRICA
Boame Helping Hands Foundation (BHHF) is taking on a project to build bathroom toilets for the girls campus of Mankraso Secondary School in Ghana. West Africa. The primary toilet within the girls sector of the school’s restroom caved in and was damaged, thereby leaving the girls with no option but to use polythene bags to defecate and dispose of them in the damaged building.
This poses a health, safety, and environment risk to the girls as it creates an unsanitary living condition at the school. To alleviate these risks, BHHF will be developing and constructing a restroom facility that will improve the guality of life for the girls at Mankraso Secondary School.
PHASE 1 | SURVEYING
To initiate the project, a site evaluation and survey of the existing facility will be conducted. A feasibility study will also be completed to develop alternatives for the bathroom site, and obtain a projected cost to execute the project.
PHASE 2 I DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
Once funds have been allocated, the design and development of the proposed facility will begin. The bathroom design will be developed to eliminate the existing environmental, health, and safety risks posed to the young girls, leaving them with a new and durable facility.
PHASE 3 | CONSTRUCTION
The proposed facility will be constructed to the development plans and be optimized for the girls’ safety and comfort.
